Good Energy Ltd. initially operated as Energy Alternatives Coromandel Ltd. from March 2007. In Aug 2009, the company changed its name to Good Energy Ltd. No longer alternative, simply good energy choices.
The company was set up by Dominic Ferretti and Jeanette Ida out of their combined interest in this field.
Based in Whitianga, we offer a range of products and services, to make it easy for you to use renewable energy or become more energy efficient. We design, supply and install high quality, long-lasting systems tailor made to your individual home or business needs.
Installers are all accredited. We value quality and integrity in our service to you, and offer highly efficient and cost-effective products to choose from.
We also now offer a small range of ecoproducts aimed at reducing waste and healthy sustainable living. We update new researched technology and products that will benefit you, your budget and the environment.
We strive to be as sustainable in our own business and lifestyle as we can.
Our office is located on Monk St, Whitianga. We have a wide range of products on display and are happy to take you to see working systems by appointment.

Dominic's background as a Research Scientist in Climate Change at NIWA led him into renewable energy and energy efficiency. “By reducing carbon emissions now we can avoid the worst effects of climate change”. Wanting to get involved with the practical side of making a change, he moved away from 10 yrs of research science to renewable energy and energy efficiency.
From 2002 to 2007 Dominic was involved with sustainable development and had hands-on experience with renewable energies. Technical development, finding the best solution, and getting technology and design to work the best for people is what he is passionate about.
Dominic is interested in technical specifications that are designed to suit your needs. He will manage your project from start to finish, submit necessary Council documentation and liase with installers to see your project through to completion. He will provide you with the best solution depending on your needs and budget. He believes in customised, quality work that will last, and can be relyed on.

Jeanette Ida
BSc (Hons)
Jeanette manages the business side of Good Energy, and strives to make it easy for you to choose good energy choices.
With a background as a Physiotherapist, Jeanette appreciates that health is impacted by lifestyle, and that sustainable living choices are good not only for the planet, but for our own health. Jeanette's vision is to see people live as sustainably as possible; sustaining ourselves economically, ecologically and socially. She is excited about building resilient healthy communities which benefit the planet and us all.
Involved in Transition Town Whitianga, which aims to create, support and inspire resilient communities that are locally sustainable. Excited about local food growing, farmers markets, waste reduction and permaculture.
